Melbourne’s Sam Frost has knocked back offers from rival clubs to remain at the Demons.
The 24-year-old put pen to paper on a new two-year deal over the weekend, ending speculation he could be forced out with the Demons pursuit of Adelaide defender Jake Lever.
Dropped for round 21, Frost failed to regain his spot in the senior side for the rest of the home-and-away season.
Frost put off contract talks mid-season to focus on the Demons’ push for finals, his extension coming at the end of a three-year deal he signed after joining from GWS in 2014.
It is understood there is still no update from the Jake Lever camp on his future, Melbourne the hot favourite to secure his services ahead of Collingwood and Hawthorn.
