Out-of-contract Adelaide star is set to sign a long-term deal with the Crows, according to reports from Channel 9’s Tom Rehn.
Speaking to Sportsday VIC, Rehn announced that Sloane is comfortable with where things are at with the Crows and could have the dotted line signed by round one.
“Our understanding is he’s very, very close. It hasn’t been done yet, but extremely close to re-signing a long-term deal with the Crows,” he told Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russell.
“I understand he and the management are very happy with the football side of things. Now they’re dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s.
“The Crows have moved significantly in the last few weeks, so we expect the Crows will will lock this one away before the start of the year.”
It is understood Sloane could be on around $800k per season. He also has work outside of football with media in Adelaide.
Sportsday co-host Gerard Healy says he is not surprised by the report that Sloane is set to stay in Adelaide.
