Toby Greene is set to sign a long-term extension with Greater Western Sydney, according to SEN newsman Sam Edmund.

The Giants are set to make two major announcements today, one being a sponsorship deal and the other being the contract news regarding their star small forward.

“A huge six-year multi-million dollar contract will be signed by Toby Greene,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.

“As a Victorian, I guess the Giants always feel there is that risk that he does come back, so it is a big coup for them.”

Former Melbourne captain Garry Lyon lauded the deal, believing Greene is one of the best front half players in the competition.

“Behind Buddy, he is the most dynamic forward in the game,” he said.

Previously, Lyon has stated Greene is worth a million dollars, and it seems the 24-year-old has been rewarded with that type of cash.

The 2016 Kevin Sheedy Medallist kicked 45 goals in 19 matches last season. GWS’ 2018 campaign kicks on Sunday March 25 against the Western Bulldogs.
