Rory Laird’s Round 2 possession dominance

Our Simonds stats man for round two tore the Grand Final rematch to pieces and was a big factor in getting the Crows over the line.

Rory Laird made the 2017 All-Australian team and was one of the most prolific rebounding defenders of last season, but looks to have gone from strength to strength this year.

Laird has already gathered 82 disposals this season across two games and both Richmond and Essendon had no answers for him.

He uses the ball effectively and has been involved in 12 score involvements across rounds one and two.

Laird recently re-signed with the Crows through to the end of 2021 and only Tom Mitchell has gotten more of the footy so far this season.

Adelaide travel to Victoria to take on St Kilda at Etihad Stadium and Laird will need to be stopped if the Saints want to get back in the winners’ books this year.
