Ben Ronke announces himself as a star of the future

No Lance Franklin, no Sam Reid, even no Kurt Tippett – no worries for Sydney!

Third-game rookie Ben Ronke stood up and kicked the Swans’ first five goals of the game against Hawthorn on Friday night, then took a contested mark in the goal square to ice the game with his seventh deep in the fourth.

Ronke was never a prolific goal scorer before being signed by Sydney, but has found his home as a small forward and can fill a role next to Tom Papley and Lance Franklin when the side is at full strength.

Ronke is our Simonds Stats Man of the round and you can check out his numbers below.
