Western Bulldogs improving but Murphy not fully convinced

Former Western Bulldogs captain Bob Murphy says the club has shown positive signs over the last few weeks, but questions remain about their prospects.

After a tumultuous start to the 2018 campaign, the Bulldogs have found a string of form, winning their past three contests over Carlton, Gold Coast and Brisbane.

According to Murphy, the quality of opposition makes it difficult to make a concrete judgement call on how Luke Beveridge’s side is progressing.

“They’re building,” he told SEN Breakfast.

“They’ve won the last three weeks but I think there are still question marks because the sides they’ve beaten have all been below them and they haven’t belted them.

“The Dogs don’t have a history of really belting sides.

“I thought the weekend’s game, I got a really close look at them against Brisbane, and Brisbane were good. They got to be one of the best sides who are 0-8 in the history of the game.

“The Dogs were pretty good, and they’re building pretty nicely. They’re a chance on Friday night.”

The Bulldogs will look to keep the good vibes rolling on Friday night in Adelaide against the Crows, and you can hear the game live on 1116 SEN from 6:00pm AEDT with Anthony Hudson, Tom Rehn, Malcolm Blight and Kane Cornes.
