NAB AFL Trade Radio host Damian Barrett believes North Melbourne’s offer for Andrew Gaff has blown all other rivals out of the water.
The free agent is yet to commit to West Coast and Barrett updated the situation.
The North offer, and while I don’t believe it’s going to be a financial decision Gaff ultimately makes – it’ll be a lifestyle one, the North offer over the five years is nearly two million dollars more than other offers will be,” Barrett told NAB AFL Trade Radio.
“Particularly the offer from West Coast to stay.”
Former Richmond coach Terry Wallace is bullish about what the Kangaroos could do if they land three running midfielders in this trade period.
“You just get the sense that North Melbourne is in the box seat in this one and it can make a huge difference,” Wallace said.
“Jared Polec’s committed to them, Aaron Hall looks like he’s heading in that direction, they’re all really good running players so I think it would be a great gain for North Melbourne.”
