Suns unhappy with “unusual” Hall interview

Gold Coast General Manager of Football Craig Cameron has confirmed the club is a little disgruntled by midfielder Aaron Hall doing an interview on the North Melbourne website last night.

Hall, who has requested a trade to the Roos, did an interview with the club that was posted on their website, despite the trade not yet being confirmed or agreed to.

The interview was done in the Arden Street facilities with a North Melbourne microphone and phrased as though the deal is done – it has since been removed from the website, but remains up on YouTube.

“He publicly committed himself on their website, didn’t he … which is interesting,” Cameron told NAB AFL Trade Radio.

Late Trade host Damian Barrett followed up by asking Cameron whether he was unhappy with Hall conducting the interview.

“It’s unusual, Damian, I think, don’t you?” Cameron replied.

“Prior to a trade being done …? Well, anyway, I don’t want to go on about it.”

Cameron expects the club to still get a deal done with the Roos for Hall once the trade period opens on Monday.

“I think we’ll do a deal with North comfortably during the trade period, I don’t foresee that being a problem,” he said.

“We’ve started conversations, but nothing’s been offered (by North) yet.”
