Garry Lyon has suggested Gold Coast might rather lose Steven May, if his commitment to the club continues to waver.

May’s immediate future remains unknown, as he continues to meet with rival clubs.

The Suns wouldn’t be overly disappointed if they let an uncommitted captain depart, according to Lyon.

“I think the preference for the Gold Coast would be to have Steven May out of the club,” Lyon told SEN Breakfast.

“He hasn’t committed. You want your captain absolutely committed and ready to go.

“If they can get the deal that satisfies them, then they would be satisfied and happy to get him out.”
