Sydney coach John Longmire hosted Collingwood’s Tom Langdon yesterday, as the Magpies defender toured the Swans’ facilities, according to the Herald Sun’s Sam Edmund.
Longmire rated Langdon on Grand Final day, being the only judge to give him a Norm Smith Medal vote.
Despite reports indicating Langdon and the Pies have all but secured a new deal, there could still be some doubt over his future in black and white.

“John Longmire was the only Norm Smith Medal judge to give Tom Langdon a vote on Grand Final day…yesterday we hear he might have hosted him on a tour of the Swans’ facilities,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.
“They’ve let it run and he has thought, well I get to do something to guarantee or safeguard my future, so he started looking.
“Now Collingwood have come back to the party because the jigsaw can fall into place, but has the horse bolted?”

Garry Lyon heaped praise over Langdon’s September campaign, and thinks he would be a big loss for Nathan Buckley’s men.
“His contract kept getting put off for whatever reason, but he played the Grand Final without a contract for next year,” Lyon said.
“When you look at it, he and (Jeremy) McGovern were the two best defenders of the finals series.”
