Sydney then passed on that pick to the Kangaroos to acquire Clarke.

“We welcome Gary and his family to our club and are excited to have been able to secure his services,” Geelong list manager Stephen Wells told the club website.
The Swans also welcomed Clarke into the club.
“We’re really happy to finalise a trade for Ryan from North Melbourne,” footy boss Tom Harley told the club’s website.
“At only 21 years of age and 40 games under his belt we think he has a lot of upside and will add some great depth to our midfield.
“We look forward to welcoming Ryan to Sydney and him joining our exciting young list.”
