Melbourne great Garry Lyon doesn’t understand why Fremantle would cool their interest on Jesse Hogan.
Some reports have indicated the Dockers have cooled on Hogan, something Lyon doesn’t understand, considering the lack of power in their forward line.
The former Demons captain also provided Freo some simple advice in their chase for Hogan.

“Why would they (be cooling on Jesse Hogan)…this is an opportunity for Fremantle,” Lyon told SEN Breakfast.
“If I’m Fremantle, they have tried at various stages over the journey (to get a big forward), Mitch Clark, Travis Cloke, Jarrad Waite, Jay Schulz, Cale Hooker…now they’ve got a chance to maybe get a Jesse Hogan into the club with Rory Lobb.

“Why would they not grab this with both hands? Don’t be too cute. If you’re Fremantle, don’t be too cute on this.
“Their leading goal kickers have been Cam McCarthy with 25 goals (2017) and this year Michael Walters with 22.
“These are guys who have got raps (Brennan Cox, Matt Taberner), but this is Hogan who kicks 40s and 50s and can play for the next eight years.”
