Sam McClure has reported that GWS midfielder Tom Scully has undergone a medical test with Hawthorn, as the Hawks look to secure the Giant this trade period.
“The noise around Tom Scully is more than that,” McClure said on NAB AFL Trade Radio.
“There’s more than just interest in him.
“The Hawthorn Football Club have conducted a medical on Tom Scully with his troublesome ankle being the major point of investigation.”
Scully, who has played 152 AFL games across Melbourne and GWS, could seek a trade back home to Victoria.
“Greater Western Sydney are aware of this, they are open to trading Tom Scully to Hawthorn,” McClure said.
“His value obviously with everything that has gone on remains a major point of intrigue, but it’s on.
“Hawthorn look likely to bring in both Chad Wingard and Tom Scully before Wednesday’s trade deadline.”
The 27-year-old suffered a broken ankle against Collingwood in Round 2, with that injury seemingly causing Hawthorn some concerns.
