Will Setterfield has been traded to Carlton, after they agreed to a swap of picks with Greater Western Sydney today.
The Blues receive pick 71 along with Setterfield, while the Giants have secured pick 43 and a future second-round draft pick.
“We wish Will all the best for the future and thank him for contribution over his two years at the Giants,” GWS list manager Jason McCartney told the club’s website.
“Will requested to explore his options and receiving a third-round pick this year and a future second-round pick will help us bring in more young talent to continue to build our list for long-term success.
“This year’s pick is particularly valuable in a deep draft and it may end up higher should clubs ahead of us match Academy and Father-Son bids.”
Setterfield has played just two games in his career. He missed the 2018 campaign with a torn ACL.
He was the fifth pick in the 2016 national draft.
