Herald Sun journalist Sam Edmund believes Hawthorn has sent multiple players to South Australia for medical tests at Port Adelaide.

The Hawks are attempting to work out a deal for Chad Wingard who has requested a trade to the club, with Ryan Burton likely set to be a part of the trade.

Edmund says two other players have been sent to the Power for medical tests.

“Some other players who have done a medical at Port Adelaide are Kieran Lovell, Tim O’Brien – whether they were contingency plans, I’m not sure, but they’ve done the checks on them,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.

He added Port Adelaide has sent a medical team to the U.S in order to do a medical test on Burton.

“We’ve been able to confirm Port Adelaide has sent a medical team over to the U.S to do a medical check-up on him,” he said.
