Collingwood defender Jeremy Howe says coach Nathan Buckley will return from his post-season holiday for the beginning of the club’s pre-season.
Buckley decided to take a three-month break after a long and strenuous season in charge of the Magpies, but Howe is adamant he will be back for day one of pre-season ahead of the 2019 campaign.
“Just to clarify one thing – I can guarantee you he will be there on December 3rd (day one of pre-season), there’s no arguing that point,” Howe told SEN Afternoons.
“I think Eddie (McGuire) said he’s going to be off for three months, he’ll be there December 3rd – he’ll be there day one.
“He’s taken his family to Italy so he’s over here at the moment with the kids and his wife.
“The kids and his wife will be staying a bit longer, but he’ll be back on day one of pre-season no doubt.”
The Magpies will look to go one better next season after falling to West Coast by five points in this year’s Grand Final.
