Star Carlton forward Darcy Vescio believes new head coach Daniel Harford will look to bring a more attacking style to the club this season.
The Blues finished on the bottom of the AFLW ladder and subsequently moved on from coach Damien Keeping, bringing in the former Hawthorn player.
They ranked last in the competition for goals kicked (21), sitting 11 behind the team in second last position (GWS – 32).
“We’re probably looking to be a bit more attacking going into this season,” Vescio told SEN Breakfast.
“I think the last two seasons have shown the teams that get the basic sort of stuff right and are really skill focused, that’s what’s gotten results so no doubt we’ll be focusing on that.”
Harford spent the 2018 season as an assistant coach at Collingwood and Vescio says she’s excited to see what changes he brings.
“I’m looking forward to seeing just how he understands the team and where he thinks he can take us,” she said.
“It’s always exciting having a fresh set of eyes on the team because it brings a fresh energy.”
Carlton has been placed in Conference B for the upcoming AFLW season and will look to improve on their two-win 2018 campaign.
