Nick Riewoldt sets his expectations for St Kilda’s 2019 season

Former St Kilda champion Nick Riewoldt has set his expectations for his old club going into the 2019 season.

The Saints entered 2018 as a team with finals expectations, but only won four games as well as a draw.

Riewoldt is hoping St Kilda will at the very least double that win count this season.

“I think last year I might’ve said anywhere from fourth to 14th so I gave myself a pretty wide window and I still missed out,” Riewoldt told SEN Afternoons.

“I think coming from a four-win season, the eight-to-10 wins is probably a realistic expectation.

“Clearly you come in with a softer draw on the back of the poor performance and if you win the games that you should win and then pinch a few on the way, eight-to-10 is probably realistic at this stage.

“We’ll get much more of an indication over the next month.

“I’m just looking for marked improvement across the board really.”

Where will the Saints finish in 2019?
