Neville Jetta says Melbourne has “unfinished business” to attend to heading into the new season.
The Demons enjoyed a successful 2018 campaign, finishing in fifth position and ending a 12-year finals drought
Their season ended when they were comprehensively beaten by West Coast at the preliminary final stage and Jetta says the group are keen to atone for the heavy defeat.
“It comes back to the feeling that we have some unfinished business,” Jetta told SEN’s Time On.
“We were dirty as players on how we performed, so we want to rectify that, get back into that position and give ourselves the opportunity again.
“You can’t win premierships early in the season, but you can definitely lose them. We’re doing everything we can to be able to set ourselves up and give ourselves the opportunity again.
“It’s going to be an exciting journey, not only for the players, but the fans alike.”
Simon Goodwin’s side open their 2019 campaign against Port Adelaide at the MCG on March 24.
