AFL great Chris Judd looks to have a very nice filly on his hands.
The two-time Brownlow Medallist is a part-owner of the Matt Cumani-trained Deserved – a two-year-old by Dundeel – which won stylishly on debut at Sandown on Wednesday.
Deserved was piloted to victory by Jamie Kah and clocked 1:12.31 for the 1200 metres.
By one of the hottest young sires in the country, Deserved was knocked down to Diamond Racing, Craig Rounsefell and Cumani for $180,000 at last year's Magic Millions Yearling Sale
Famous Australian actor Gary Sweet is also in the ownership group.
It's not the first time Judd has enjoyed success as an owner; Lady Naturaliste won a stakes race at Morphettville last month, while in 2008, Judd and former Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich watched on as their stayer Cefalu took out the Listed JRA Cup at Moonee Valley.
