Eddie Betts kicked six goals in his 300th game to lead Adelaide to a morale-boosting 73-point win over Gold Coast at Adelaide Oval.

The Crows celebrated Betts’ big day in style by crushing the Suns to record their second win of the season.

Don Pyke’s men have never lost to the expansion club in 12 matches between the sides.

Here’s everything you need to know!

The moment: Betts with a Goal of the Year contender

Tucked up in the pocket, Betts conjured up a moment of pure magic.

The veteran Crow took possession of the ball before unleashing a left-foot checkside kick that sailed through for an incredible goal.

It’s an effort that will no doubt be in contention for this year’s Goal of the Year award.

The Star: Eddie Betts

Betts had a day out in his milestone match.

The champion small forward finished with six majors, including that stunning goal from the boundary line in the last quarter.

It’s Betts’ best goal return since Round 4, 2017 in a timely return to form.

Rory Sloane was also superb for the Crows with 32 disposals, eight clearances, six tackles and five inside 50s.

What’s next?

Adelaide take on high-flying St Kilda at Marvel Stadium in a twilight fixture next Saturday. Gold Coast face rivals Brisbane in the Q-Clash at Metricon Stadium next Saturday afternoon.
