Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins has laughed off suggestions that he could be put up for trade at season’s end.
Jenkins is yet to earn an AFL recall after being dropped from the side following the Round 4 loss to North Melbourne.
The 30-year-old was notified by his brother of speculation circling on social media regarding him being used as potential trade bait.
“I guess there is a possibility," Jenkins told SEN SA Breakfast.
“It’s a fair reach, funnily I had my brother reach out to me. He reached out to me asking if I was being traded because he saw something was on Facebook.
“I was in this situation, only for one week admittedly in 2017 and got to play a Grand Final, things can change quickly but it would be a fair stretch to make that assumption at the moment.”
Jenkins is contracted until the end of the 2021 season after signing a five-year deal back in 2016.
