Richmond livewire Daniel Rioli will return for Saturday night’s Dreamtime at the ‘G clash against Essendon, according to SEN Time On host Sam McClure.
The premiership Tiger missed the wins over Fremantle and Hawthorn with a corked thigh and sore ribs but made a successful return via the VFL last week.
“Finally some good news for Richmond on the injury front,” McClure said.
“Dan Rioli will play this week against Essendon.”
Rioli's return will allow him to wear the Indigenous jumper he helped design for this year's Dreamtime match.
"He (Damien Hardwick) said that I had a good game, that I was back to my best basically, (because) I applied pressure and laid eight tackles,” Rioli told reporters on Wednesday.
“That's what he needed, so fingers crossed I will be playing against Essendon.”
Rioli, 21, is averaging 11.3 disposals and 2.6 tackles per game in his seven matches in 2019.
