North Melbourne star Ben Cunnington has put pen to paper on a fresh contract extension.
Cunnington turned his back on free agency next season and re-signed with the Kangaroos for a further two years, tying him to the club until at least the end of 2022.
The 27-year-old midfielder is one of the Roos' most consistent performances and leads the competition for both clearances and contested possessions in 2019.
“I can’t imagine playing for any other club and leaving never crossed my mind,” Cunnington told nmfc.com.au.
“I can’t thank the club enough for what they’ve done for me and my family, just welcoming me and supporting me.
“They’ve (the Kangaroos) shown full support and belief in me to be the person I am today.”
Cunnington was taken by North Melbourne with pick No.5 in the 2009 draft and notched his 200th game in the Round 13 loss to GWS.
