For the third straight year, GWS is dealing with an extensive injury list in the lead up to finals.
Jon Patton (ACL), Callan Ward (ACL), Stephen Coniglio (knee), Jeremy Cameron (hamstring), Jeremy Finlayson (hamstring), Zac Langdon (ankle), Brett Deledio (calf), Sam Taylor (hamstring) and Jacob Hopper (hamstring) are all on the sidelines, while Josh Kelly (calf), Matt de Boer (shoulder), Toby Greene (ankle) and Harry Himmelberg (calf) have all had their own issues this year.
Nick Dal Santo believes comprehensive change is needed at the club to fix what is a serious issue.
“They need a massive overhaul or assessment of the medical staff,” Dal Santo told SEN Afternoons.
“It ruins careers. It’s got to be (more than just bad luck).
“At some point, you can’t have the amount of injuries and repeat injuries that they’ve had over three years now. It’s crazy stuff.”
The Giants will host a home final and will likely finish sixth, but have suffered poor losses at home in successive weeks to Hawthorn and the Bulldogs.
