Co-host of SEN Breakfast Tim Watson believes Hawthorn assistant coach Scott Burns will be the next coach of Adelaide.

Crows coach Don Pyke stood down from the role last week, with the club going through a rigorous external review.

“We all hear names. I’ve been told by somebody that Scott Burns will be the next coach of Adelaide,” Watson told SEN Breakfast.

“If you go back and examine Scott Burns’ CV, it’s really impressive.

“Where he’s been and the coaches he has been around. I know people that interviewed him for another job and they were really impressed.”

This backs up Andy Maher’s mail from last week, where he said you could “lock it in” that Burns would get the job.

Burns played 256 games for the Pies and has previously been an assistant at both West Coast and Collingwood.
