Geelong ruckman Zac Smith could be set to make a return to the Gold Coast.

The out of contract 29-year-old reportedly underwent a medical at the Suns’ facilities on Tuesday, according to Fox Sports.

Smith began his career at Gold Coast, playing 65 games there before joining the Cats in 2015.

The report adds that he has been offered a two-year deal by the Suns.

While Gold Coast captain Jarrod Witts has a monopoly on the ruck department at the club, Smith would give them some depth given the retirement of Tom Nicholls.
