Nick Dal Santo has looked at the Western Bulldogs and is very optimistic about the young side.
The Bulldogs already have a couple of trades lined up this off-season with Alex Keath and Josh Bruce looking set to move to Whitten Oval.
The latter of the two will add to a forward line that Dal Santo is very excited about given their young age.
“The Dogs averaged 88 points per game, that’s number three in the comp,” Dal Santo said on Telstra AFL Trade Radio.
“This is a team that has had a feeling about do they kick enough goals, do they have enough firepower.
“I think you need to give a lot of credit to the likes of Sam Lloyd; great pickup. I like (Patrick) Lipinski, (Toby) McLean, (Tory) Dickson, Bailey Dale has come home like a house on fire.”
There was only one main area that Dal Santo felt the Bulldogs should address that they haven’t so far.
“Do you know what they need. They need a Tom Papley type,” he added.
“Someone that can go into the midfield, roll back forward, can play multiple roles. Up and about, enthusiastic, energy, goalkicker.”
