St Kilda midfielder Dan Hannebery will have a delayed start to the pre-season after fracturing a bone in his right foot.
Hannebery, 27, sustained the injury while on leave meaning his pre-Christmas program will be pushed back two weeks.
The three-time All-Australian rolled his ankle at his sister’s house in Perth last week.
GM of Football Simon Lethlean had the latest on the former Swan's setback.
“Our team of physios and strength and conditioning guys were keen to manage Dan’s workload prior to the Christmas break, and their program will now be pushed back two to three weeks,” Lethlean told saints.com.au.
“He should be running at the start of December and training with the main group shortly after.”
A spate of soft tissue injuries restricted Hannebery to five senior games in 2019.
