Emerging St Kilda ruckman Rowan Marshall is looking forward to plying his trade alongside veteran big man Paddy Ryder.
Ryder joined the Saints from Port Adelaide during the trade period and will look to provide valuable support for Marshall, who shouldered a heavy workload during his breakout 2019 season.
"I'm stoked, over the moon. He (Ryder) was obviously an All-Australian ruckman a couple of years ago and I'm pretty new to the ruck craft," Marshall told reporters on Thursday.
"He's a really superb tap ruckman (and) that's probably one weakness in my game I need to work on.
"At times against bigger ruckman I was found out a little bit in the ruck craft, but with Paddy here I will be able to improve on that and it can become one of my strengths."
Ryder, a two-time All-Australian, was one of five players to join St Kilda with Dougal Howard, Zak Jones, Brad Hill and Dan Butler all securing moves to Moorabbin during the trade period.
