Key Crow Kyle Hartigan has undergone ankle surgery.

The 28-year-old was experiencing pain while changing directions at training and was sent to get the minor operation by the club.

However, Adelaide Head of Science and Medicine Steve Saunders doesn’t expect Hartigan to have a delayed start to the 2020 season.

“The surgery involved the removal of old scar tissue and a joint wash-out,” he said.

“Kyle’s running will be limited for the next two weeks. However, he has had a seamless off-season and pre-season to date, so he is well-placed to be available for selected trial games in preparation for Round 1.”

Hartigan played 19 games in 2019, averaging 10 disposals and four marks as a lockdown key defender.

The Crows take on Melbourne on February 22nd in the Marsh Community Series.
