Hawthorn premiership player Campbell Brown has predicted Jack Billings and Josh Dunkley to become elite players in 2020.
Billings and Dunkley enjoyed breakout seasons for St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs respectively and Brown believes they will elevate themselves further this upcoming season.
Taken at pick No.3 in the 2013 draft, Billings had a career-best campaign in 2019, averaging 25.7 disposals per game.
As did Bulldogs ball-magnet Dunkley, notching over 28 touches and 5.2 clearances a match which saw him selected in the All-Australian squad of 40.
"I'm going to say two," Brown told SEN Drive.
"I think Jack Billings. He had a terrific year in 2019 – was superb in fact – and I think he will step up again. And the other guy I was going to say was Josh Dunkley.
“I’m giving a couple of young blokes with potential an opportunity.
“There’s a couple of guys who I think can make a tremendous leap and there’s a lot of potential there that they could just skyrocket them into the top couple (of players in the competition).”
Billings, 24, has played 107 games for the Saints and re-signed for a further two seasons last August.
Dunkley, 23, was selected with pick 25 in the 2015 draft and has 66 games for the red, white and blue under his belt.
