As we get closer to the AFL season, hype continues to build, and David King has revealed what he is most interested to see in 2020.
With nearly one third of teams changing coaches last year, King wants to see which teams overcome adversity early.
“Five new coaches this season. All five won’t hit the ground running,” he told SEN Breakfast.
“There will be a problem in the first six weeks for one of the new coaches and you just hope it’s not all consuming.
“Even the caretakers in Brett Ratten, David Teague and Rhyce Shaw, can they do what they did in the back-half of last season.”
Adelaide mutually parted ways with coach Don Pyke – Matthew Nicks has stepped in as his replacement following a tumultuous two seasons.
Carlton and St Kilda sacked their respective coaches during the season, while North Melbourne coach Brad Scott opted to leave the club in the middle of the year.
Fremantle was the final team to make a move, getting rid of Ross Lyon in favour of Justin Longmuir.
