Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett has put a call out on Twitter, hoping to identify a ‘Hawks supporter’ who was seen watching the Queen in the U.K.
The little girl is wearing a ‘Hawthorn scarf’ as the Queen goes by and Kennett was clearly taken by her.
“This young lady just appeared on the Channel 7 news,” he tweeted.
“Does anyone know who she is please. We know our members are scattered around the world, and clearly she is giving the Queen strength and support as Her Majesty deals with challenging family issues.”

People have been quick to point out in the replies that is very likely not a Hawthorn scarf.
Rather, it is likely just a Gryffindor scarf from the Harry Potter series.
Evidently, Kennett has not read the book series or watched the movies, as people have pointed out on Twitter.
it's from Harry Potter Jeff. Does Hawthorn have a quidditch team?

Forget AFLX let's have Quidditch in the off season.

Others have pointed out that it could also be a Bradford City FC scarf, given the Queen was in Bradford.
The Queen was in Bradford so I suspect it’s a Bradford City FC scarf whose colours are claret and amber. Close enough I say Jeff 🤷🏻♂ pic.twitter.com/OpQnDDVkBF

Evidently, Hawthorn is not the only sporting team, real or fictional, that happens to don a similar colour palette.
