Adelaide forward Riley Knight will miss the entire Marsh Community Series and is in doubt for round one after picking up an Achilles tendon injury.
The 24-year-old will be sidelined for up to a month and now faces a race against the clock to be fit enough to play during the Crows’ season opener against Sydney on March 21.
"After completing most of the pre-season, Riley will not complete competitive loads for three to four weeks," Adelaide head of medicine and science Steve Saunders said on the club's website.
Knight played 15 games last year and had previously completed an uninterrupted pre-season before suffering the injury setback.
In other Adelaide injury news, the club confirmed young utility Ned McHenry was in doubt for the club’s first pre-season game against Melbourne while Tom Doedee is nearing a return to football following his ACL injury last year.
