Carlton star Matthew Kreuzer has undergone a minor heart procedure.
The ruckman has suffered from an elevated heart rate issue in recent years, missing three games in 2018 because of it.
Kreuzer is expected to be ready to go for the first game of the Marsh Community Series and did not have a surgical operation on his heart.
The 30-year-old has only played 27 games across the last two seasons and the Blues will be relying on him to carry the ruck load in 2020.
They traded for Marc Pittonet from Hawthorn to replace back up ruckman Andrew Phillips, who departed for Essendon.
Young ruckman Tom De Koning has played two career games and has impressed in the VFL, but remains a long-term prospect.
