Liam Pickering has denied reports that North Melbourne have shown interest in recruiting Collingwood defender Darcy Moore.
According to a report in the Herald Sun, the Kangaroos are keen on luring the out-of-contract Magpie to Arden Street to bolster their defensive stocks.
When asked on SEN Breakfast whether there was any truth that North had enquired about securing the services of Moore, Pickering poured cold water on the rumours.
“If they have, they haven’t done it with me,” he revealed.
“I haven’t spoken to North.”
Pickering also rejected claims that Carlton are also interested in Moore, something which suprised Essendon great Tim Watson.
“Why wouldn’t Carlton, with where they’re at right now, just be enquiring about somebody like Darcy Moore?” Watson said.
Garry Lyon agreed.
“I would make that enquiry no questions about that,” Lyon added.
Moore has been courted by a number of clubs, with Sydney also emerging as a potential destination for the 22-year-old.
Pickering has stated he is confident that Moore will re-sign with the Pies.
