Adelaide no longer targeting Bryce Gibbs

Adelaide list manager Justin Reid confirmed his club has “moved on” from Bryce Gibbs, believing he is happy at Carlton. Gibbs is contracted with the Blues through to 2019 and had a strong year with the club despite requesting a trade to the Crows last season.



Josh Schache wants to return to Victoria

The Brisbane Lions have confirmed former number two draft pick Josh Schache wishes to return to Victoria. Schache is contracted for another two seasons and will remain in Queensland if a deal can’t be reached, but club and player have mutually agreed to attempt to get a trade done.


Geelong frontrunners for Jack Watts

Dwayne Russell reported Jack Watts is leaning towards Geelong ahead of Port Adelaide as his club of choice. Russell said Watts wants to stay in Victoria, but is still weighing up a move to South Australia. Geelong met with Watts on Friday.



Jarman Impey nominates Hawthorn

Hawthorn list manager Graham Wright told NAB AFL Trade radio that Jarman Impey is their team’s trade period priority. Impey has requested a trade to the Hawks. Wright also confirmed the re-signing of Taylor Duryea, but didn’t rule out trading Billy Hartung.


Adam Tomlinson will not be traded

GWS have gotten on the front foot and stamped out any chance of Adam Tomlinson being traded. St Kilda was heavily linked to the contracted defender and had a lot to offer with picks seven and eight, but GWS has ruled out any chance of a trade taking place.



Brendon Ah Chee requests trade to West Coast

Port Adelaide midfielder Brendon Ah Chee has nominated the Eagles as his preferred trade location. Ah Chee has been linked to West Coast for some time now and the 23-year-old wishes to return home to Western Australia.


Robbie Gray diagnosed with testicular cancer

Port Adelaide announced today Robbie Gray was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the conclusion of the season. Gray has had surgery and will be doing precautionary chemotherapy with the aim to be back in training by November.



Steven Motlop tours Adelaide facilities

Sam Jacobs reportedly gave Steven Motlop a tour of the facilities at the Adelaide Crows today. The free agent has three teams vying for his services including Port Adelaide and Gold Coast. Motlop has now met with all three teams and has a decision to make.


Fremantle play down interest in Melbourne's Jesse Hogan

The Fremantle Football Club are not setting themselves to go after Melbourne’s Jesse Hogan.

But Dockers list manager Brad Lloyd says there is nothing in the speculation regarding the 22-year-old Demons star.

“Jesse is a quality young Western Australian player, but he’s also a contracted Melbourne player,” he said.

“When it comes to players from other clubs, he has to declare he wants to get to you. And his club needs to be prepared to trade him.

“None of those things have happened.”
